What It Is
CO2 Target Asset Tracking is a system for organisations managing carbon reduction commitments across physical assets. It tracks targets, measures progress, and reports on compliance with carbon reduction pathways.
Built On Nomos
This project demonstrates Nomos Cloud’s capability to model complex domains:
- Event-sourced asset registry: Every change to asset data is captured and auditable
- Target lifecycle management: Set, adjust, and track carbon reduction targets over time
- Compliance reporting: Generate reports showing progress against committed pathways
- API-first: All functionality exposed via generated OpenAPI and MCP interfaces
Domain Model
The system models:
- Assets: Physical assets with carbon footprints (buildings, vehicles, equipment)
- Targets: Carbon reduction commitments with timelines
- Measurements: Actual emissions data over time
- Pathways: Reduction trajectories for compliance tracking
Why It Matters
This project validates that Nomos can model real-world compliance domains where:
- Audit trails are non-negotiable
- Historical data must be preserved
- Reporting requirements are complex
- Multiple stakeholders need different views of the same data
